Yesterday was the first time in 2016 that I checked my Blog. Heck , I forgot that I even have a Blog. My bad. Either way , here's a small post that's purely about ranting , and some other stuff about life.
I love watching movies. I think everyone does. If you don't love movies , what's wrong with you? You're weird. Like , really weird. I mean , how can anyone not like movies ? How weird can you get ? Actually , I do know a few people that dislikes movies , and are really outdated - so I'm really curious on how they're still alive in the world today without knowing the real names of Iron Man and Captain America. They don't even read the comics , but who am I to judge - I don't read comics.
Before I actually start on the actual content and stuff , I'm just gonna say that I'm really rusty at the moment with my writing skills ( not that I have any ) - so there's a high chance that this Blog post will be as if it was written by a 10 year old kid. So unprofessional , I know. I'm sorry. But just , bear with me on this one.
Movie goers , as the title suggests. There are many good , yet bad things about movie goers - and basically the cinema in general. Unless you're Tom Cruise and have your own private cinema in your house in Hollywood , you will have these common problems in the cinema , regardless of what kind of PG movie you're watching. I mean , parental guidance am I right ? You could sneak your 5 year old kid into the movies to watch Fifty Shades of Grey for all I know - and probably scar your kids' childhood. Of course they wouldn't know it then , but as they grow up and recall their childhood ( which happens a lot ) , they'll know that they have terrible people as parents.
But in all cases , rebellion will be coming , eventually. It's just puberty . That's also a very lame excuse us teenagers use to get out of trouble. It is an effective strategy most of the time though.
*casually goes off topic*
Either way , movie goers , yes...... There's only a small percentage of a glimpse of a chance that you'll be seated in a cinema with people that actually know where they are and how to shut up and stuff. But , those types of people that adjusts themselves every 10 minutes or so is a guaranteed annoyance to find in every cinema that you head too , so don't get your hopes up.
The types of people you'll meet at the cinemas :
- The seat adjuster
As mentioned above , these people can't sit still. Their back itches , their bum hurts , their legs are cramping up , and many more other excuses to adjust the seat , causing the vibrations of your actions to affect everyone in your row. I'm bad at putting things into place and using good words to describe stuff , so that could've just been a sexual innuendo.. Whatever that sets your dirty mind off , whatever.
- The plastic bag person
Heading to the cinemas will always lead to one thing in the end. No , it isn't to watch the movie , it's to buy snacks before the movie starts and gain a few pounds in the cinema. I mean , popcorn and soft drinks aren't really healthy , especially if you include in a hotdog or chips , basically whatever you can find at the snacks bar. What is the plastic bag person though ? It's the person that has to open up the plastic bag containing the snacks in a very aggressive manner , causing tons of noise interference inside the cinema , which can really tick someone off. Again , I'm bad at putting things into place and using good words to describe stuff , but you get the idea - right ?
- On-the-phone guy
Before any movie starts , there'll be tons of advertisements , and also a specific one where it tells you to switch off your phone(s) or put it into silent / vibration mode. Some people can be very ignorant and rude. They'll leave their phone on sound mode and will someone get the whole world to call them up every single second. The phone ringing in the cinema is bad enough ~ they'll actually answer the call they're receiving and talk REAL loud in the cinema , while the movie is on. If you were sat beside this kind of person , would you hit him / her ? I would.
- The bladder issue person
Please for the love of God , go to the toilet before watching a movie , especially if the movie is 2 hours + long . NO ONE likes the person that needs to squeeze out of their seat in the middle of the movie to head to the washroom every now and then . The thing that makes this worse is that these guys with bladder issues tend to choose the seats that are in the centre , and not at the side , closer to the isle. It always has to be in the centre.
- The talker
Similar to the on-the-phone guy , these types of people have one thing in common. They're really good at pissing people off. The talker can be the on-the-phone guy , or they can be their more sinister counterpart , an evolution of the phone guy ~ someone who talks to their friend(s) that are sitting beside them in the cinema. Like , they're giving live commentaries of the movie as it's going on , giving out spoilers , and pissing everyone else off. There's a special place in Hell for people like this.
- The parent
A simple rule if you're heading to the movies , bring adults only .... maybe your wife , your husband , your work colleague .... anyone ~ BUT your children. If you have a toddler and you have to babysit the kid , then don't watch the movie. Buy the DVD when it comes out , or just download it off the Internet. Do ANYTHING but bring your kid into the cinema with you. Why ? Well , they'll start to cry , talk real loud , run around - you get the point. Reasons why I don't wanna have children in the future.
- The laugher
These types of people can be very irritating. Like , their sense of humour tolerance is so low , that they can basically just giggle and start bursting out with laugher on ANYTHING that they were to see , touch or hear. There's a place called an "asylum" for people like this. Please , see a doctor ... you're insane.
- The sick one
Everybody gets sick at some point in their life. It's unavoidable. We're all humans after all. However , the flu comes with the cough and cold , which comes with a running nose. Obviously it's uncool to watch a movie with someone coughing and blowing their nose throughout the whole movie , which means that you'll have to bear with the nonsense and noise interference for an hour or two. Good luck with that.
- The blinder
The on-the-phone guy apparently has many categories that span out from that one individual. It could involve an electronic device , or it could involve your blood pressure rising up to the breaking point where you just want to kill the person. The "blinder" is that person who just doesn't bother to lower the brightness level on their phone , and somehow has to check for incoming messages or notifications every 5 to 10 minutes. This basically distracts you , and the light shining from the device is the same situation where you open up the blinds or the curtain in the morning. It's terrible.
- The fanboy / fangirl
This type of people are uncommon and hard to find , but you will bump into them occasionally, especially when a blockbuster gets released. This person would just brag about how much they love the movie that they're currently watching , and what sorts of merchandise they've purchased over the years because they love the saga so much. It's basically like a die hard Star Wars fan watching The Force Awakens for the first time and can't shut up on how he/she spent thousands of dollars to buy that one collectors edition Darth Vader and lightsaber. Hey , no one cares ~ stop bragging.
- The seat kicker
I think it's very self explanatory right ? You get the point of the "seat kicker" don't you? Good , moving on.
- The lovebirds
Get a room , seriously. Again , self explanatory . Also , there are Couple Seats at the back of the cinema for couples to smooch and have sex with one another. Okay , not have sex , but smooch and cuddle. No one wants to hear a girl moaning in the cinema while everyone's watching a movie.
- The late comer
The movie started 45 minutes ago mate . WHY in Lords' name made you decide to barge into the cinema 45 minuter after the movie started , go in front of me , block my view , or even ask me to move out so you could get to your seat(s). Either you get here earlier next time , or buy another ticket to watch the movie at a later time , because no ones gonna get out of their seats just so you could get to yours...
Those are the types of people that I've met in the cinema. I'm probably missing out on some , so I might add more on another day.
On a small update of my life , I'm back to college ~ which is pretty cool so I'm really looking forward to stuff. Also , I've been given an assignment where I have to create a Blog post every week on whatever topic I want to write about and hand over the link of the post to my lecturer for points for a span of 10 weeks. So technically , there will be a new Blog post about something dumb and totally random each week starting next week. This post doesn't count , as the assignment only starts next week and I don't intend to keep this as a draft for a week. I'd rather upload it now.
