Generation Y

By Gregory Low - October 26, 2013

Hey guys,

If you are born around 1970-2000,you're the Y Generation.After that,you're a Z Generation guy/girl I suppose.The main topic you might ask isn't about you,but about your personality.Basically,the obsession on technology,which means telephones.

Alexander Graham Bell (March 3, 1847 – August 2, 1922) was an eminent scientist, inventor, engineer and innovator who is credited with inventing the first practical telephone

Steven Paul "SteveJobs (February 24, 1955 – October 5, 2011) was an American entrepreneur, marketer, and inventor, who was the co-founder (along with Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne), chairman, and CEO of Apple Inc. Through Apple, he is widely recognized as a charismatic pioneer of the personal computer revolution] and for his influential career in the computer and consumer electronics fields, transforming "one industry after another, from computers and smartphones to music and movies".

So how obsessed are we with hand phones?Me,really obsessed!

You gave it a pet name. It knows more about you than your mother does. Sometimes you even sleep with it. In fact, you're so attached to it that being separated for only a few minutes could send you into a panic.
While smartphone users worry about mobile hacking and other security threats that are making news these days, psychologists and others are concerned about another equally troubling issue: the growing obsession among people who would much rather interact with their smartphones than with other human beings.

Two out of five said they “would feel anxious, like part of me is missing,” if they couldn't use their smartphones to stay connected. One in four people in Gen Y say they check their smartphones so much throughout the day they lose count.
The smartphone has replaced our newspaper, radio and PC, so it should come as no surprise that Gen Y-ers prefer smartphones to PCs and even tablets.
And it goes beyond just smartphone obsession — Gen Y loves being digitally connected too. Two-thirds of respondents said they spend just as much or more time socializing with friend online than they do in person. Women seem to prefer online interaction compared to men, but not by much: 38% of men spend more time in-person than online, versus 29% of women.
So,we are addicted to gadgets! This means we're doomed.
